Once a keen photographer, Isaiah Hill (20) has found his favoured medium in the form of hand drawn and digitally enhanced illustration. His raw and emotion-ridden pieces provide a subtle blend of optical illusionary techniques and geometric patterns - it’s inspired heavily by the Memphis patterns of the late 80s and early 90s found in graphic design at the time. Combining this, alongside some dissected common phrases - his works often defy convention between technique and meaning.
Growing up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Isaiah uses a plethora of music and minimalist photography and design to collate his ideas and put them to paper, seen through his monochromatic colour scheme and line-type design style.
